Trout Rodeo!


The 19th annual Trout Rodeo will be held rain or shine Saturday, May 3rd at Kennett Square’s Anson B. Nixon Park on North Walnut Street.

600 trout ranging in size from 12 to 22 inches have been stocked. The trout were released on Friday via refrigerated truck from Cherry Valley Trout Hatchery in Stroudsburg.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded to children for the largest fish and for the highest five-trout limit weight.

A Pennsylvania fishing license for 16 years old and older is required.
Children five and under are free.
The tickets today are adults, $12; children 6 to 15, $6.

To increase your trout fishing knowledge and enjoyment, members of the White Clay Fly Fishermen will be demonstrating the fine art of fly-tying during the rodeo.

Refreshments and raffle tickets will of course, be on sale.
