Too many Videos...

There seems to a dramatic influx of new videos that simply much be watched and appreciated.

Video #1 comes to us via Vimeo and simply explains the new fly development, production and distribution process at Idylwilde:

The Process from Idylwilde Flies on Vimeo.

Video #2 was spotted on YouTube. I'll simply label this the best invention ever.
Can you picture this set up on Dick's deck to lob cold ones to the masses at streamside?

Friday Bacon T.V. Planner!

On Wednesday at 10:00 pm the Travel Channel will graciously host a new episode from the show "Food Paradise" entitled, "Bacon Paradise."

Here's the description: "Bacon Paradise Some use this delectable meat paired with eggs, waffles, and chicken and others as a tasty addition to burgers, salads, and chocolate, but one thing is for sure: Americans go hog wild for bacon! Scoping out restaurants from Texas to Maryland to California."

See attached preview.

Bacon alert sounded by an on the ball Southern Minion Associate.

Minion Blog Popularity

Today the Minion Flyfishing blog is being viewed by:
31 people in the United States

3 people in Canada

3 people in South Korea

2 people in South Africa

1 person in New Zealand

and 1 Russian who must be wondering what in blazes we're talking about.  And yet very few of the Minions can be bothered to post or even submit anything of merit.  How disappointing.

Yuengling Expanding Again?

Dick Yuengling is contemplating expanding again into a fourth brewery located in Tennessee.
This would further cement America's oldest brewery's solid standing as a fine regional craft brewer.
The reported increase in capacity to over 7 million barrels per year would certainly move Yuengling up the list of U.S. brewers.

Get the whole story at: http://www.npr.org/2010/11/12/131274041/yuengling-oldest-u-s-beer-maker-eyes-expansion

Haven't seen him since the leaves fell...

and been thinkin' that he's resting in a neighbor's freezer.

His "harem" has been making a daily appearance so maybe he'll turn back up?

At least one of us is putting his weekends to good use...

Johno forwarded this sporting photo my way today.
A fine fowl and over-under.

Nice work Johno!

p.s. Next time call me to bust the brush for you.

Friday Bacon!

A very nice gift choice for one of the upcoming twelve days of Christmas combining a fine oatmeal stout with delicious bacon chocolates.
Find it at: http://www.vosgeschocolate.com/product/bacon_bar_and_beer/bacon_and_chocolate

Rogue Shakespeare is an oatmeal stout, distinctly mellower than its Irish ancestors. Oatmeal stout dates back to the 1800s when it was discovered that the addition of oatmeal to the brewing process yielded a "healthier" beer, touted as a virtual cure–all. Rogue's Shakespeare Stout is an ebony–tinged brew, laden with notes of chocolate and just the right amount of hops to compliment the umami notes in the Bacon + Chocolate line.

Available in New York but unfortunately not Pennsylvania.
Those dangburned bureaucrats got you again...
