Just a little tiny barn door to let a piglet out, I mean a big barn door, like a hog door is what I mean.

Double D's first salmon

This is the video...

I wanted you guys to watch last night. Particularly impressive was the marlin's laser like targeting the fisherman's friend's noggin with the wooden rack.

Northern Most Sandy

10/21/12 - A short repast on the final morning of our most recently completed foray afield.
Stew redeemed the whole adventureless adventure with this finely wrought piece of steel.
Mr. Dunn handled the assist with aplomb.
Stew poses for the obligatory "grip and grimace."
In this semi-comical interlude, Bear successfully, and with grace, rappels down a particularly steep and muddy creek bank using an unknown fisherperson's "donated" salmon stringer.
I do agree that this is a much improved use for the finely crafted blue rope stringer.

No fish expired, nor were unduly injured, due to the efforts of this band of Minions.

Multi-year PA Fishing License...

available starting December 1st. Pennsylvania anglers will be able to buy three- and five-year fishing licenses and trout stamps for the first time on Dec. 1.
Acting under a new law signed by the governor this summer, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is moving forward the new multi-year licenses with the ultimate goal of stabilizing troubling agency finances.

Fisherfolk purchasing the new multi-year licenses will save on each incremental year's worth of annual transaction fees charged by issuing agents. Savings should be $3.40 per three-year fishing license, $6.80 per three-year fishing license with a three-year trout stamp, $6.80 per five-year fishing license and $13.60 per five-year fishing license with a five-year trout stamp.
Other incentives to tempt anglers to the new multi-year licenses are under development and will be cast upon the water later this year.

An interpretation of...

the Ten Commandments of Fly Fishing.

Thou shalt have no past times before fly fishing.
Thou shalt boast pridefully of thy catch.
Thou shalt exaggerate exponentially about the one thy almost catched.
Thou shalt naught sleepeth through the hatch.
Thou shalt release all that thou catcheth.
Thou shalt never relvealest thy heavenly honey hole.
Thou shalt honor and respect the one that refuseth to be caught.
Thou shalt sally forth to the river at all opportunities.
Thou shalt not coveteth thy neighbors rod nor reel.
Thou shalt give thanks to God, the creator of all things beautiful in nature, for our streams and surroundings.
