The new access point across the river has led to a new phenomenon on this formerly uncrowded stretch, elbowtoelbowitis. The only known cure, who knows, I mean I'd want to get out of NJ too...
We don't camp out on the best water in the Musconetcong, Raritan, Tom's River or even the Flatbrook.
Why you go and dis' me like this?
By the way, there are now confirmed reports of viral hemorrhagic fever being contracted by anglers cleaning the didymo from their wading boots after fishing here.

Can you say giant sling shot?
Hello:
I have been lurking here for sometime...I own the red house across from Shehawken...If you figure out how to deal with this let me know....I have a few tricks I can share...
I almost bought the property acoss the street from you in 2002. When that shot house was there...Before the log home was put in....
My wife I and the kids picnic across the river from you since then in the tall grass and fish minding our own, respecting the residence because we know what it is like.....Once I saw that go in I was bummed becuse I knew it would turn into that....and knew what it was...Then that property sold near there on the same side and that will turn into an mini sub division...
When will it end....
All the best,
Jerry
I kind of like the giant slingshot idea, but it sounds like a minor liability issue.
Jerry, do tell about your experiences and methodologies...
A three man sling shot can be quite useful. Maybe some undesireble animals placed across the stream.
We do a couple of things....
1. Get the barbeque going...get it real smokey....The smell gets the stomachs going and within a 1/2hour I can clear most out...To get the morning crowd out start it around 11 AM and for the later crowd I start it around 5:30 PM.
2. Send the kids down and have them make allot of noise and throw rocks.
Let me know if this works for you and have fun with it....
Jerry
Unfortunately, I will probably be there on Sunday...I'll stand on the launch and wave for a few minutes if you want...that way you'll have a target for your sling shot...
Shag, you are safe. There will be no slingshotting of roadkilled skunks this weekend. The Mnions will be rocking the uncrowded PA trouts instead.
