Fine day in the Catskills

Something to listen to whilst reviewing yesterday's festivities.

The Tweedlers are a local band we've seen at Buffalo Zach's in Roscoe, and last night, at the Bainbridge Town Hall Theatre. The theatre is a recently restored 100 year old venue that looks forward to more live music and theatre acts in the coming years.

It was a busy day down on the farm.

We escaped up to Cooperstown to partake in the beverage goodness offered up by Brewery Ommegang. They were having a festival of sorts complete with local vendors and live music.
Of special interest to all the kiddies in attendance were the wool wares for sale at this stand.

Mostly because of this small family penned up out back.

The selection on tap in the tent was limited but tasty nonetheless.
I couldn't help myself, I sampled the Obamagang brew.
It had a lot to say but finished with no lasting effect.

These are the silos from whence the magic flows.

Below is the archway through the replica Belgian farmhouse. Traffic was directed around the building this day to better access the large parking area in the adjacent field.

Not sure if they call these "beer gardens" in Belgium, but that is what it was.

A peek inside the tasting room. Well attended today!

Two shots below are of the awesome fire ring onsite. Stew's stone setting skills will no doubt be put to good use replicating this gracefully curved structure at the new WB compound.

I had no idea this brewed incredibleness was also available in handy personal sized cans.

Prior to heading back home for the evening concert, we loaded up the Defender with what started out as a mere 3 cases of Ommegang products. At check out I was informed that my purchase qualified for their stimulus package, an additional free case and three free glasses. I sent my lovely bride back into the shop to procure 3 of the Duvel tulip glasses of which the proprietor manning the register highly approved. I quote, "Of course you have to go with the Duvels."

All in all a fine day was had!
Moon shot not from last night but recent, and it sums up the satisfaction of a day well spent.

Hoping your day was fun filled and "laser awesome!"

That bulbous Duvel tulip is the way to go.
