This year’s CCA Maryland TieFest is scheduled for March 9 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Prospect Bay Country Club. Sign up now for kid’s (under 16) free fly casting lessons. Classes are from 11 to 12 a.m. and limited to 20 kids. Send an email to Tony Friedrich, executive director, at tony@ccamd.org
This year’s TieFest is free for CCA members and anyone under 16, $10 for non-members.
The event has been renamed Lefty Kreh’s TieFest. “Lefty is recognized throughout the world as one of the fathers of fly fishing, and since he’s a Maryland resident it’s most appropriate to name Maryland’s best fly-fishing event after him,” said Friedrich. “Lefty has attended many of the past TieFests and always is open to helping anglers. This is one time when any angler can come up to Lefty or the other fly-fishing experts there and get their individual questions answered.”
See, he does some good stuff too...
