available starting December 1st.
Pennsylvania anglers will be able to buy three- and five-year fishing licenses and trout stamps for the first time on Dec. 1.
Acting under a new law signed by the governor this summer, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is moving forward the new multi-year licenses with the ultimate goal of stabilizing troubling agency finances.
Fisherfolk purchasing the new multi-year licenses will save on each incremental year's worth of annual transaction fees charged by issuing agents.
Savings should be $3.40 per three-year fishing license, $6.80 per three-year fishing license with a three-year trout stamp, $6.80 per five-year fishing license and $13.60 per five-year fishing license with a five-year trout stamp.
Other incentives to tempt anglers to the new multi-year licenses are under development and will be cast upon the water later this year.
