Saturday Quest

Clarks Creek north of Harisburg Pennsylvania is the tailwater of the Harrisburg water supply's reservoir. The pic. below shows said creek in all of the summer time glory it can muster.
It runs cold, it runs small and it runs fishy.

Little Timmy's 9 pound steelhead caught near Altmar.

Possible record steelhead

Nick English caught this fish on the Kispiox River in B.C. on Oct. 18 2008. It measured 45.25 inches and had a girth of 25 inches, according to the weight formula (length x girth(squared)/690) weighed in at 40.75 LBS. I am not sure there are any this size in Pulaski but we can dream. I bet he used the landing glove.

Big Spring, Sat. Feb 14.

After De-Skunking Juno at four in the morning, I decided to hit the waters. I arrived at Big Spring and fished the ditch for about two hours. This is the larger of the two brook trout I took on a Black Woolybugger. Sporadic rises to a few blue wing olives. Tomorrow I plan on hitting Spring Creek with Truck Stop McShaft (aka Stew). Report to follow. Curly out.
