MORE ABOUT THE BOOTS

Dureing our recent trip to the Salmon River I rediscovered another reason I wanted to get away from felt bottomed boots...The mud. Its like walking on ice. So after observing and getting the report from Stew whom himself just purchased a pair of simms boots I decided I did not want to want to tear my groin doing a split walking on the muddy trails.

These are the Simms Rivertek boots with the BOA system. They are comfortable have good ankle support and great traction on the trail and in the river. The cleat system works well but it is a crock of shit they are not included with the boots and they charge $40 for them.

Sorry no laces let alone blue ones.

Steelhead

A nice steelie caught by Bear in the DSR. The best part is that a fellow tinnocker hooked us up with free passes so we didn't have to pay the assholes a dime.

Alewives!

2011 Flood

Not over yet, but expected to surpass levels seen in 2006

Stuck in Lightstreet at the moment. Routes 487 and 11 closed as well as I-80 A little water in Walter's basement but it is under control.

D.D.'s Brown Trout

Although not nearly as large as the previous post, this beauty also deserves some props.

D.D. did in fact catch this one on a Black Ant, and then release it back into the PhD section of the river. It was the only fish landed by the trio of D.D. Bear and myself during a recent Sunday excursion.

Johno's Big Trout

Johno's recent fishing trip in Trenton was highly successsful. Look at the size of this brown trout! Caught on a size 18 Blue Winged Olive Parachute and released.

The results of a few to many celebratory beverages can be seen in the photo below.

I am in the market for a new pair of boots and am finding it difficult to find a size 14+ boot. These are the two which I am leaning toward does anyone have any other suggestions or imput.
