I want to catch a big Striped Bass, maybe a 50 pounder...

You may find this mildly amusing.  Take note that is does contain some PG 13 language.

Does a Bear Sink in the woods?

Does a Bear sink in the woods? You bet your ass he does, especially when he is in a swamp. Don't worry "Double D" helped Bear as I snapped pics.

Salmon River

A couple of nice chromers. The top pic is Double D's first steelhead.

Timely Advice...

During a recent trip to the Upper Fly Fishing area on the Salmon River the Minions were witness to a potentially deadly incident.  A father and son stumbled and fell while crossing the river.  The son, a young man of perhaps 14 or 15 years, was swept through a rapid into a deep hole.  He was largely spent after struggling though the rapids and had little strength left.  He managed to paddle close enough to shore to be rescued by a fisherman with a large net.  One of our group was in the process of wading out into the flat just upstream from the next large rapid / waterfall area.  The young man needed to be carried from the water, but recovered in a short time.
Both father and son appeared to be in shock.

The link below shares one doctor / fisherman's advice for wade fishing the Salmon River.
