Big "D" Guides Merge. Just like the River!

Hot off the press:

Outfitters Merge on the Upper Delaware River

Like the East and West Branch join to form the Delaware River, two of the best guides on the Upper Delaware River System combine their services into the premier guiding and outfitting business in the region.
Hancock, NY (PRWEB) March 18, 2010 -- Capt. Joe Demalderis ("Joe D" ) owner of Cross Current Guide Service & Outfitters and Jim "Coz" Costolnick owner of Border Water Outfitters fly shop, two prominent Upper Delaware River fly fishing guides, recently announced the merger of their guide and outfitters businesses. They will continue using "Cross Current Guide Service & Outfitters" as their name.

Cross Current Guide Service & Outfitters is an Orvis Endorsed Guide Service on the world-class wild trout fishery of the Upper Delaware River. Both Joe and Coz will personally guide fly fisherman on the Upper Delaware River assisted by their staff of the best guides in the region. They will also host fisherman to a number of travel destinations both in the US and abroad.

"Cross Current Guide Service & Outfitters owners, Capt. Joe Demalderis and Jim Costolnick have put together the finest staff of Orvis Endorsed Guides on the Upper Delaware River system offering their guests and clients decades of experience and knowledge" Paul Weamer, author of the Fly Fishing Guide to the Delaware River.

The Upper Delaware River System has long been regarded as the best wild trout fishery in the eastern United States.

Longtime friends, Coz and Joe decided to work on a merger last Fall after a luncheon where they were discussing their goals and other business concerns. Upon realizing they shared many similar ideas, it was only natural for two of the best guides on the river to combine their services into the premier guiding and outfitting business in the region. Jim Costolnick (Coz) will continue to independently operate Border Water Outfitters Fly Shop in Hancock, NY providing the finest local fly patterns and expert personal service.

Friday Bacon!

We all know that eating bacon is by all accounts, "a religious experience," but this is ridiculous.

It's no piece of Virgin Mary toast.
Allegedly discovered in a skillet of burnt bacon, behold the Bacon Grease Jesus.
It must be a hoax because Jesus would never show up for the sinful act of burning bacon.
